A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Financial Analyst to help support their business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze supplier contracts to identify pricing errors, contract discrepancies, and cost recovery opportunities
  • Perform financial analysis using enterprise systems to determine the root causes of contract pricing issues
  • Review contract reports and ad hoc data to identify savings opportunities
  • Prepare and communicate audit findings to Purchasing and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to resolve contract issues
  • Support supplier negotiations by providing financial analysis and audit findings
  • Drive the timely closure of contract audits, recovery cases, and supplier overpayments
  • Track and report key performance metrics, including audit completion, case aging, and cost recoveries
  • Conduct special financial studies and analyses as requested by leadership
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce pricing errors and strengthen contract accuracy
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the audit and recovery process
  • Support annual supplier cost recovery initiatives and financial performance goals

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, contract analysis, audit, or a related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, formulas, and data analysis
  • Experience analyzing contracts to identify pricing discrepancies or financial recovery opportunities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience preparing financial reports and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Purchasing, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented with strong decision-making and stakeholder management skills

Hours and Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week
  • Hybrid in Warren, MI - 3 days(Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in-office, 2 days remote per week
