A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Accounts Receivable Coordinator to help support their business needs.
The main function of an accounts receivable coordinator is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. A typical accounts receivable coordinator is responsible for a wide range of technologies and can work in areas closely related to computers.

The main function of an accounts receivable coordinator is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. A typical accounts receivable coordinator is responsible for a wide range of technologies and can work in areas closely related to computers.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process sales volume reports
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software
- Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial documents according to established procedures
- Debit, credit, and reconcile accounts using computer spreadsheets, databases, and accounting systems
- Track accounts receivable and monitor past due billing activities
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related financial discipline preferred
- 2-4 years of financial and/or accounting experience required
- Experience using accounting software and financial systems
- Experience with past due billing
- Experience with accounts receivable tracking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles as needed
- Knowledge of federal, state, and internal accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with specialized accounting software
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related financial discipline
- M-F, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid in Warren, MI - In office Tue-Th, work from home Mon and Fri
