About The Role
The Community and Social Coordinator reports to the Senior Manager of Community and supports Etsy’s community strategy through hands-on execution across community programs, social channels, events, and seller communications. This role serves as connective tissue across initiatives—partnering closely with sellers, managing timelines and assets, and ensuring seamless, high-quality community touchpoints.
The Coordinator will own the day-to-day management of our events platform and support the execution of virtual and IRL experiences, while also creating and coordinating social content that highlights and celebrates our seller community. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys detail-oriented work, and is passionate about building meaningful experiences for creative entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day operational lead across seller-facing community and social programs, ensuring a high-touch and consistent seller experience
- Act as primary coordinator for sellers participating in social features, video content, campaigns, workshops, community teams, ambassador initiatives, and in-person events
- Manage seller outreach, onboarding materials, prep calls, briefing documents, reminders, and follow-ups across programs
- Coordinate contracts, NDAs, travel logistics, reimbursements, and payment processes in partnership with Legal and Finance teams
- Source sellers for campaigns and storytelling initiatives in collaboration with Community Marketing leads
- Maintain seller story tracking and proactively surface storytelling opportunities to internal stakeholders
- Gather, organize, and conduct quality assurance on seller-generated content, including video, imagery, testimonials, and quotes
- Manage shared inbox communications and ensure timely, thoughtful responses across time zones
- Support execution across social, community, and event channels to ensure consistent publishing and high-quality seller experiences
- Partner with Social Media leadership to coordinate content publishing and asset management
- Maintain social content calendars and align timelines across campaigns and key marketing moments
- Identify, coordinate, and track user-generated content opportunities aligned to marketing priorities
- Monitor seller engagement and feedback across channels, escalating insights when appropriate
- Support deployment of engagement content across social platforms, forums, teams, and live events
- Manage and organize virtual events and community asset libraries to ensure version control and accessibility
- Execute logistical details for virtual events and support high-visibility tentpole and in-person programs
- Build and manage virtual events in community platforms, including registration flows, reminders, and light technical support
- Coordinate workshops and learning experiences, including documentation, run-of-show materials, and post-event follow-up
Skills And Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in community marketing, social media marketing, events, or related fields
- Experience supporting and executing both virtual and in-person events
- Experience creating and publishing social content for brand or community channels
- Experience working with external partners, creators, or small business owners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft brand-aligned messaging
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders in fast-paced environments
- Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to identify compelling community narratives
- Detail-oriented with experience gathering, organizing, and quality-checking content and assets
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable owning executional responsibilities
- Understanding of social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, including trends and engagement dynamics
- Ability to translate community moments into engaging brand storytelling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using project management tools such as Asana
- Experience using Slack for workflow and communication management
- Familiarity with Airtable or similar database systems
- Experience using community or event platforms such as Bevy or similar tools
Hours and Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week
- This role is hybrid in Brooklyn, NY
